The concept of the UpCycle movement is, to creatively, give a new and better purpose to an unused or discarded material without degrading the composition of the originating material, which is what happens in the conventional recycling technique. An item that has gone through UpCycle usually has a quality equal to or better than its original and has a higher added value.

In the works of the UpCycle series, I search libraries around the world for old photos and no known property rights. These photographs are printed and passed through interventions of painting, drawing or any other technique, transforming the original image that had essentially documentary character in an essentially artistic work.
